Sun Aesthetic Clinic is built around two clinical anchors and the seven-person team that surrounds them. Dr. Jay Sun, MD — our founder, owner, and medical director — set the practice’s tone when he opened the doors in January 2022. Dr. Albert Yang, our fellowship-trained facial plastic surgeon, brings surgical-grade anatomical judgment to every aesthetic decision made on the floor. Around them, three aestheticians, two nurses, and two front-of-house team members carry the patient experience from the first phone call through every follow-up visit.
What that structure means for you: every treatment is overseen by physicians whose backgrounds were built outside the medspa world — anesthesiology, pain management, head-and-neck reconstructive surgery, facial plastic surgery. And every touchpoint in the room — the way you are greeted, prepared, treated, and walked back out to your car — is handled by a team that was hired for hospitality first and clinical rigor second.
We are intentionally small. Two physicians. Three aestheticians. Two nurses. Two administrators. Nine people, one boutique location at the Bellevue Crossroads — and a roster designed so that physician oversight, clinical execution, and front-of-house care are all under one roof rather than scattered across contractors or call centers.
That structure matters for a reason most patients never see: every aesthetic decision in this practice sits underneath a physician. Cosmetic procedures are delegated and supervised — not subcontracted out. The aestheticians and nurses you work with are on staff, trained inside the practice, and answerable to the same medical director who built the place. Our administrators are part of that loop too — scheduling, intake, and follow-up are handled in-house, not routed through a third-party answering service.
If you would like to put a face to that team before booking, the bios below walk through each provider’s background. To meet us in person, Book a Complimentary Consultation and we will set aside time to talk through what brings you in.
Dr. Jay Sun is an anesthesiologist and pain management specialist by training, and the founder of Sun Aesthetic Clinic. He opened the practice in January 2022 in the heart of Bellevue’s Crossroads neighborhood and has owned and operated every aspect of the clinic since — from the equipment in the treatment rooms to the cosmetic and medical procedures offered under our roof.
His clinical background is unusual for a medical spa. Dr. Sun trained as a physician at Nanjing Medical University and completed his anesthesiology residency at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. He has practiced as a pain management specialist for many years, and that depth in anesthesia and analgesia is part of why patient comfort is a non-negotiable in this practice rather than a marketing line. He is also the practice’s lead injector for cosmetic procedures — Botox, dermal fillers, and other neuromodulator and biostimulator enhancements — and personally trains and supervises every clinician who delivers treatments in his rooms.
What patients tell us about Dr. Sun, more than anything else, is that the practice feels warm. He calls it a “homey feel.” We think of it as hospitality treated as a clinical standard. Either way, it is the through-line for the practice he built.
Dr. Albert Yang is a fellowship-trained facial plastic surgeon on staff at Sun Aesthetic Clinic. His role at the practice is to bring surgical-grade anatomical judgment to every aesthetic decision — whether that decision is a filler vector, a laser depth setting, a neuromodulator dosing pattern, or a candidacy conversation about whether a non-surgical approach is genuinely the right answer.
Dr. Yang completed his AAFPRS fellowship (American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery) at Emory University and Premier Image Cosmetic and Laser Surgery Center. Before fellowship, he completed his head-and-neck reconstructive surgery residency at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. He earned his medical degree at SUNY Upstate Medical University, holds a master’s in stem cell biology and human nutrition from Columbia University, and completed his undergraduate work in biochemistry at UC San Diego.
A note on credential language, because it matters: Dr. Yang is fellowship-trained. His board certification is anticipated in September 2026. Until that examination is complete and the certificate is in hand, we describe his credentials in the language he has actually earned — fellowship-trained, AAFPRS — rather than language he has not yet been awarded. We think you should expect that level of precision from a practice you trust with your face.
Together, Dr. Sun and Dr. Yang represent complementary strengths: an anesthesiologist’s ear for comfort and a facial plastic surgeon’s eye for anatomical precision. That pairing is the clinical backbone of the practice.
Behind the two physicians, our clinical team carries the day-to-day work of treatments, room prep, patient education, and follow-up. We have hired for hospitality and clinical care in equal measure — these are the people you will likely spend the most chair-time with, and they set the temperature of every visit.
Mei Wu — Aesthetician. Mei delivers treatment-room aesthetic services across the practice, working under Dr. Sun’s medical direction.
Theresa Sculley — Aesthetician. Theresa is part of our treatment-room aesthetician team, supporting facial services, skin protocols, and post-treatment care.
Crystal — Aesthetician. Crystal rounds out our aesthetician team and works alongside Mei and Theresa in delivering aesthetic services.
Siyu Phippen — Nurse. Siyu provides clinical nursing support across the practice, from procedural assist to patient prep and recovery.
Sihui Mo — Nurse. Sihui is part of our nursing team, supporting both physicians and aestheticians on clinical workflow and patient care.
The full clinical team — physicians, aestheticians, and nurses — works under Dr. Sun’s medical direction. The structure is intentional: it keeps every aesthetic decision tied to a physician’s standard of care, not subcontracted out to a rotating roster.
The first voice you hear when you call Sun Aesthetic Clinic, and the first face you see when you walk in, belongs to our admin team. They handle scheduling, intake paperwork, payment coordination, patient communications, and the dozens of small logistical touches that decide whether a visit feels easy or stressful.
Teresa Deng — Administration. Teresa supports front-of-house operations, scheduling, and patient communications.
Li Chen — Administration. Li supports front-of-house operations, scheduling, and patient communications.
We staffed administration in-house — rather than outsourcing scheduling to a remote call center — because the quality of those first and last interactions shapes how patients feel about everything in between. The admin team is part of the practice, not a contractor layer in front of it.
If you would like to put faces and voices to these bios in person, the easiest way to do it is to come in for a consultation. We will sit down with you, walk through the treatments you are considering, talk through what is realistic for your skin and your timeline, and answer the questions the website did not.
